As a first-generation Latina, I know firsthand how it feels to grow up in a different culture and miss out on some of the beautiful aspects of your heritage. I wanted to connect with my Latin roots and share them with my kids. Many of us in the Latin community may have experienced this disconnection at some point, and it's okay to feel that way. But hey, the good news is that we can do something about it!
